FCT Police arrest 146 suspects in raids across Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has reported the arrest of 146 suspects following a series of raids at known black spots and criminal hotspots in Abuja on April 22, 2025.
Police Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted by police operatives from various divisions, including Wuse, G/Lada, Kubwa, Kabusa, Nyanya, Mpape, Utako, Maitama, Apo, Tungan Maje, and Zuba, alongside the Scorpion Squad.
The sources said that the raids targeted areas such as Gidan Drama at Zuba and Anagada. During the operation, police recovered five cutlasses and a quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and illicit drugs.
The police sources said that the arrested suspects are currently in police custody, undergoing screening and interrogation. Those found culpable will be charged to court accordingly.
