Kidnapped woman, 11-year-old boy regain freedom in Plateau

A kidnapped woman, Mrs Juliana Goyang, and an 11-year-old boy, Master Idumafa Amupitan, have regained their freedom after being held by their abductors in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The victims were released from captivity at about 10:10 p.m. on September 18, 2026, following their abduction around the Gwafan and Lamingo areas of Jos North.

Security sources said the victims have since been debriefed and reunited with their respective families.

Meanwhile, intelligence gathering and covert operations are ongoing to track and apprehend the criminals responsible for the abduction.

Security agencies are also intensifying surveillance and intelligence-led operations around the affected areas to prevent further incidents and ensure the safety of residents.
