Kidnappers abduct man at residence in Jos South, security guard injured

Suspected kidnappers have abducted a man, identified as Chunu Kefas Odafe, at his residence in Rohwol Kanang, Ungwan Doki District of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 10:40 p.m. on Sept. 24, opposite Our Lady of Perpetual Hope Catholic Church.
Troops of Sector 6, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), deployed in Bukuru, responded to a distress report and proceeded to the scene.
On arrival, the troops found the victim’s security guard at the gate with machete wounds, while the suspected kidnappers had fled the area with their target.
The injured security guard was evacuated to ECWA Hospital, Bukuru, for medical attention.
The troops immediately activated rescue operations and commenced efforts to track the kidnappers and secure the safe release of the abducted victim.
Security forces are also intensifying operations in the surrounding areas as efforts continue to locate the perpetrators and rescue Odafe.
