Troops arrest seven curfew breakers, recover 23 cattle in Mangu

Troops of Sector 8, Sub-Sector 81, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), in conjunction with Keystone Gindiri Division, have arrested seven persons for allegedly violating the curfew imposed in parts of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the arrests were made at about 6:55 p.m. on Sept. 24 during a curfew enforcement operation in Kasuwa Ali, Mangu LGA.
The troops also intercepted 23 cattle found grazing along the Gindiri–Chanso road in the area.
According to the sources, the herder fled on sighting the troops, leaving the livestock behind.
The arrested suspects were handed over to Keystone Gindiri Division for further necessary action, while the recovered cattle were moved to a safe location.
Security forces have continued to intensify patrols and enforcement operations across the area as part of efforts to maintain law and order and prevent further security breaches.
