The military precision platform has neutralised about 16 suspected terrorists in a precision air strike following intelligence on terrorist movements in the Pulka general area of Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted at about 12:09 a.m. on Oct. 24, following an intelligence report from the 26 Task Force Brigade on suspected terrorist activities.

The sources said the Aircraft acted on the intelligence, tracking approximately 40 suspected terrorists as they moved through the area.

The suspected terrorists were reportedly trailed until they made a temporary halt in separate groups near a water body, providing an opportunity for a precision strike against a group of about 20 of them.

A post-strike battle damage assessment indicated that approximately 16 suspected terrorists were neutralised.

The operation highlights the role of intelligence, persistent surveillance and precision targeting in disrupting terrorist movements and reducing their operational capacity in the North-East.

Security forces continue to sustain pressure on terrorist elements operating around Gwoza and other parts of Borno State as efforts intensify to deny them freedom of movement and prevent attacks on civilian communities and military positions.
