Police re-arrest escaped robbery suspect, recover Beretta pistol in Nasarawa

Police operatives in Nasarawa State have re-arrested an escaped robbery suspect and recovered a Beretta pistol following a manhunt.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the breakthrough was recorded at about 10:00 p.m. on July 24, when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Awe Division reported the successful re-arrest of the suspect.
The suspect had earlier escaped from police custody, prompting an intensive search by security operatives.
Police sources confirmed that the suspect is now back in custody, while a Beretta pistol linked to the case has also been recovered.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the suspect’s escape and to conclude the robbery case.
The police reiterated their commitment to ensuring that criminal suspects are brought to justice and that all aspects of the case are thoroughly investigated.
