Troops arrest suspected intruder in Katsina, hand him over to police

Troops of the 171 Battalion have arrested a suspected intruder following a distress call from residents of Dan-Nakola community in Daura Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the troops responded at about 5:00 p.m. on July 18 after residents reported the presence of a suspicious individual in the community.
The sources said the suspect was apprehended without incident and, during preliminary questioning, claimed to be a native of Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police Force in Daura for further investigation and necessary legal action.
Military authorities said the prompt response reflects the continued collaboration between security agencies and local communities in preventing criminal activities and maintaining security across the North-West.
