Troops foil bandits’ attack, rescue kidnapped mother and child in matazu

Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have foiled a bandits’ attack in Matazu Local Government Area and rescued a kidnapped woman and her child.

Sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspected armed bandits invaded Ringin Gora Village on May 20 at about 8:30 p.m. and abducted Saratu Abdullahi, 22, and her child.

The troops alongside members of the Katsina State Civilian Watch Committee (KSCWC) and vigilantes, were swiftly mobilized to pursue and engage the attackers.

The victims were rescued unhurt, while the bandits fled into the bush.
