Troops of 4 Demonstration Battalion have recovered four motorcycles earlier stolen by terrorists during an attack on farmers in Angwan Garke Village, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Military sources disclosed that the recovery followed a response by troops on June 7 to intelligence indicating that the motorcycles had been recovered and handed over to local vigilantes at Galadimawa in the same local government area.
The motorcycles were among items carted away by the terrorists during their attack on farmers in Angwan Garke on June 6.
Acting on the information, troops moved to the area and subsequently took custody of the recovered motorcycles.
Security sources said the recovered motorcycles are currently in military custody pending further administrative procedures and eventual return to their rightful owners.
The recovery is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to track and recover property stolen during terrorist attacks, while sustaining pressure on criminal elements operating across Kaduna State.
Military authorities have continued to encourage residents to provide timely information capable of supporting ongoing counter-terrorism and anti-banditry operations in the region.
