Soldier injured in road traffic accident in Jos

A soldier has sustained injuries in a road traffic accident while on administrative patrol along the Lamingo Road in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The incident occurred at about 11:20 a.m. on September 19, 2026, when Lance Corporal Kenechukwu Nwabueze, of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, was involved in the accident while riding a motorcycle.

The injured soldier was immediately evacuated to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) for medical attention.

His condition was not immediately disclosed, while an investigation has commenced to establish the circumstances and possible cause of the accident.
